Boone First United Methodist Church is seeking a Pianist/Organist to accompany Sunday morning worship and other special gatherings (holidays, funerals, weddings, etc.). Music selections potentially include standard hymns, contemporary hymns, and other music styles as needed, in consultation with the Pastor.

Minimal Skills or Proficiency Requirements

·       Intermediate to advanced skills on piano and/or pipe organ

·       Ability to follow a written bulletin

·       Functional literacy in spoken and written English

·       Effective organizational, communication, supervisory and

interpersonal skills

Essential Job Functions

·       Play piano and/or pipe organ for Sunday morning worship services

·       Accompany choir/soloists as needed

·       Accompany funeral services and/or weddings

(musician has right of first refusal)

·       Maintain church’s music library
